Additionally, the score shown is reflective of the group’s overall performance, unless you are in a solo dungeon of course, between these two facts we do not have concerns about players performance shaming one another. MMORPG: With regard to the "greater performance = greater rewards" part: How "visible" will the performance scores and/or rewards be to fellow players? Is it possible that this could lead to trolling or toxic behavior between players, especially in PUGs? How will you address this?Īstellia: Your dungeon score is shown once the final boss is defeated, this ranking is only displayed to those who participated in the dungeon, and once they leave the dungeon this score is no longer publicly visible. Each of these facets of the story link to quests that the player will be able to complete as they make their way through Rutlass Den, and by progressing them you not only earn the dungeon loot and quest rewards, you learn more of the story behind the events. Ultimately, you must bring an end to whatever is causing the Kiyos to commit these acts. You as the Astellian are tasked with resolving these issues, lending aid to the town by arming the militia, recovering stolen items, and saving the lost children. The local Kiyos, a humanoid ferret-like race, have become unnaturally aggressive recently, stealing from the town and even kidnapping children. In Meiville, the citizens are having some serious issues involving children going missing. As the player is making their way through the world they will come to a town called Meiville. Specifically, we are referring to Rutlass Den. What kinds of quests will players see in the outside world? Will some dungeon quests be multi-stage (as in clearing more than one to complete the objectives)?Īstellia: A good example of how dungeons drive the story in Astellia is shown fairly early in the gameplay. (Notice I said- chance.) To improve the gear you find, improve your dungenoneer's guild back home.MMORPG: You say that dungeoneering drives the storyline.

Even if it means walking back and forth between the same two rooms and the only treasure you lay in each is a small bag of coins, if it allows you to fight creatures that are at least your current character level and not lower, there is a chance that you can find better gear than what you have. Grinding for better gear before going after the dungeon boss is always a possibility.

If you're not ready to fight the endboss of a dungeon and are still building up your character, the hitpoints (Again, just an example.) miight be the better choice. So- if you're trying to decide between something that will give you new but powerful attacks and something that might, for example, raise your hitpoints, look at your character. (Plus to hitpoints, extra card draws per turn, etc.) Just remember when choosing that cards represent things you MIGHT draw, but buffs are ALWAYS on as long as you are wearing the item. Loot can give you special abilities (Cards, not all good.) or buffs.
